12. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall
also live with him. 2TIM. 2:11.
I plead the merits of thy Son,
Who died for sinners on the tree;
I plead his righteousness alone-
O put the spotless robe on me.
He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them,
and rose again. 2COR.5:15.
13. If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. 2TIM. 2:12.
Why should I complain,
Of want or distress,
Temptation or pain?
He told me no less:
The heirs of salvation,
I know from his word,
Through much tribulation
Must follow their Lord.
If we deny him, he also will deny us. 2TIM. 2:12.
14. If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful; he cannot
deny himself. 2TIM. 2:13.
O my distrustful heart,
How small thy faith appears;
But greater, Lord, thou art,
Than all my doubts and fears:
Did Jesus once upon me shine,
Then Jesus is forever mine.
Be not faithless, but believing. JOHN 20:27.
