6.  Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace;

Thereby good shall come unto thee.  JOB 22:31

Blind unbelief is sure to err,

And scan his work in vain;

God is his own interpreter,

And he will make it plain.

That which I see not, teach thou me:  if I have

Done iniquity, I will do no more.  JOB 34:32.

7.   Thus saith the high and lofty One that

inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy:

I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also

That is of a contrite and humble spirit, to

Revive the heart of the contrite ones.  ISA. 57:15.

A broken heart, my God, my King,

Is all the sacrifice I bring;

The God of Grace will ne’er despise

A broken heart for sacrifice.

Be clothed with humility.  1PET.5:5.

8.  God resisteth the proud, and give the

Grace to the humble. 1PET. 5:6.

As a little child relies

On a care beyond his own;

Knows he’s neither strong nor wise,

Fears to stir a step alone:

Let me thus with thee abide,

As my Father, Guard, and Guide.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty

Hand of God, that he may exult you in due

Time.  1 PET. 5:6.
