10.  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you;  not as the

world giveth, give I unto you.  JOHN 14:27.

Let worldly minds the world pursue,

It has no charms for me;

Once I admired its trifles too,

But grace has set me free.

Let not your heart be troubled,

neither let it be afraid.  JOHN 14:27.

11.  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what

ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  JOHN 15:7.

Knowledge and zeal and gifts and talk,

Unless combined with faith and love,

And witnessed by a gospel walk,

Will not a true profession prove.

Herein is my Father glorified,

that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.  JOHN 15:8.

12.  As the Father hath loved

me, so have I loved you.  John 15:9.

O for grace our hearts to soften!

Teach us, Lord, at length to love;

We, alas, forget too often

What a Friend we have above:

But when home our souls are brought

We will love thee as we ought.

Continue ye in my love.  JOHN15:9.
