13.If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love. JOHN 15.10.
Do not I love thee, O my Lord?
Behold my heart and see;
And turn each cherished idol out
That dares to rival thee.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you,
that ye should go and bring forth fruit. JOHN 15:16.
14. Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it to you. JOHN 16:23.
What various hindrances we meet,
In coming to a mercy-seat!
Ye who that knows the worth of prayer
But wishes to be often there.
Your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. 1 JOHN 2:12.
15. Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. JOHN 16:24.
Prayer climbs the ladder Jacob saw,
Gives exercise to faith and love,
Brings every blessing from above.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. JOHN 16:33.
