21. The earth shall be filled
with the knowledge of the glory of
the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. HAB. 2:14.
Jesus shall reign where’er the sun
Does his successive journeys run,
His kingdom stretch from shore to shore.
Till moons shall wax and wane no more.
O Lord, revive thy work in the
midst of the years. HAB. 3:2.
22. The Lord thy God in the
midst of thee is mighty; he will save,
he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love, he will joy
over thee with singing. ZEPH. 3:17.
How can I sink with such a prop
As my eternal God,
Who bears the earth’s huge pillars up,
And spreads the heaven’s abroad?
In that day it shall be said to
Jerusalem, Fear thou not; and to
Zion, Let not thy hands be slack. ZEPH. 3:16.
23. I will pour upon the house
of David, and upon the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and
of supplications; and they shall look
upon me whom they have pierced,
and they shall mourn. ZECH. 12:10.
Strike, mighty grace, my flinty soul,
Till melting waters flow,
And deep repentance drown mine eyes
In undissembled woe.
Rend your hearts and not your
garments, and turn unto the Lord
your God; for he is gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great
kindness. JOEL. 2:13.
