30. The Son of man shall come in the glory
of his Father, with his angels; and then he
shall reward every man according to his works. MATT. 16:27.
See the Judge our nature wearing,
Clothed in majesty divine;
You who long for his appearing,
Then shall say, This God is mine:
Own me in that day for thine.
What is a man profited if he shall gain
the whole world, and lose his own soul. MATT. 16:26
31. We are all as an unclean thing,
and all our righteousness’s are as filthy rags. ISA. 64:6.
Let others in the gaudy dress
Of fancied merit shine.
The Lord shall be my righteousness,
The Lord for ever mine.
I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord;
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung,
that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which
is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. PHIL. 3:8,9.
