15. Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity? MIC> 7:18.
O save a trembling sinner, Lord,
Whose hope, still hovering round thy world,
Would light on some sweet promise there,
Some sure support against despair.
Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. MATT.20:31.
16. I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. MAL.3:6.
O let me then at length be taught,
What I am still so slow to learn, That God is love, and changes not,
Nor knows the shadow of a turn.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. JAS.1:17.
17. He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. MICH 7:18.
Blest is the man to whom the Lord
Imputes not his iniquities;
He pleads no merit of reward,
And not on works but grace relies.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2COR. 5:21.
